Quite a while ago we set up an account on thesixtyone.com to showcase some of our stuff and see if people liked it. T61 was a site whereby people could listen to your music, and if they liked it they would vote for it. Get enough votes and your song would be featured on the front page, where lots of people would then see it and listen to it!
It was a good little site - worked well and was quite well attended.
However, they did a major design change a while back, and (in my humble opinion) broke the dynamic of the site. It still does what it always did, but it's made it harder to do it. So we stopped checking it quite as much, and I've not really looked at it for *ages*
Anyway, last night, this dropped into my mailbox:
Dear quiddity,
Your song "A Brighter End" by "quiddity" has hit the homepage of thesixtyone.com! You can visit the new tab at http://www.thesixtyone.com/posted/?goto_song_id=x9Wvja34XCu to see your posted song.
Sincerely,
thesixtyone team
Which is pretty cool - looks like folks are still listening to quiddity on T61!
If you feel like pushing A Brighter End a bit further up the ladder, click on the link above, register and hit the heart button :)
Wonder if it's worth putting some of the newer tracks up....

Blogger .vs. Facebook?
Just a quick note to sort of say that the facebook page is a bit more active than the blog at the moment.
If you only read the blog and don't visit the FB page, then it might be worth wanderng over here and taking a look now and again --> http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Quiddity/38500958176

It's... all. Quiet!
It's been a bit quiet on the quiddity front recently. I just seem to be generally busy, and Dan's off making strange noises under his Kosmischeboy alter ego or making students do unnatural things with video.
We did say this would be a bit sporadic!
Feb20.1 by quiddity
So I thought I'd chuck a very basic piece I was noodling about with earlier in the year up. I'd shelved it as I thought it was a bit dull, but coming back to it I quite like it's sparseness. Feels a bit contemplative as well. With Dan's sprinkling of faerie dust, there may be something there.
The bass feels a bit 'Twin Peaks' in places. Which reminds me, I must get round to buying that on DVD...

WiP (slight return)
So, here's a little insight into how we work.
Dec6.2 (Kboy mix 1) by quiddity
Here's my original doodle:
Dec6-1 by quiddity ....and here's what it sounds like after Dan gets his mucky little fingers into it.
Still needs some work - but I think it's sounding good....

Quiddity music in facebook....
Just a quick note to say that those nice people at Soundcloud have now fixed their Facebook app.
So you can now listen and download direct from the Tracks tab on our Facebook pages here

There it was, gone...
I've taken the WiP track off the blog.
I've another couple lurking around, so may pop one or two up a some point.

A bit of tidying up...
Just gone over thesixtyone and last.fm sites and taken off all the 'alpha' tracks. So all the Broadening tracks are now known by their title without a daft suffix.
Made sense at the time, on reflection wasn't such a hot idea. :)
If you're an ol' timer, you may want to redownload the tracks so you get them without the alpha. You can do that above from soundcloud without even having to leave this page. I'nt technology **brilliant**?
